BAKONZO PEOPLE (UGANDA)

The Bakonzo are a tribe found in the Nature Rich regions of western Uganda. They are known for their rich culture and traditions, including their unique dance.
The Bakonzo traditional dance “Ekyikibi” aka the Amabere dance, is a lively and energetic dance that is typically performed at important celebrations & sometimes at weddings. It is characterized by its fast tempo & strong, rhythmic movements.
