Did you know that Lake Mahoma is the deepest and largest lake on the Rwenzori Mountains.The lake is located on the lower altitude than all other lakes on the Rwenzoris.

The lake is the source of the famous River Mahoma and a tributary of River Mubuku,while at the lake you will take great views of the Rwenzoris multiple peaks with a dreamy reflection of the lake.
The lake is surrounded by virgin bushes of bamboo forest, sometimes you will view ducks accustomised to the habitat of this altitude of 2990m.
Lake Mahoma can be treked for one day,two days up to three days.
